Colorful naïf art & silky scarfs

The Spanish company Loewe has inagurated its art gallery, recently opened in the heart of Barcelona, with a retrospective exhibition of nine artworks of the spanish painter Antonio Ballester. A young artist who breaking with academic formalism, try to paint with the freedom of a child. These colorful, naïf style, optimistics and energy-giving paintings, full of childhood evocations and flower motifs have been point of reference for the last collaboration presented by the traditional spanish Brand founded in 1846. The Madrid born artist  desinged a scarf collection for Loewe called “Mantón de Manila” inspired in the traditional spanish “mantón”( shawl), a piece of garment of which usage go back to the 18th Century.

The scarf collection consisting of eight pieces , four of them in silk and four in cotton and cashmere, can be acquired in any of Loewe shops. The exhibition will be on show until August 15th at Galería Loewe, Paseo de Gracia 91, Barcelona, Spain.

La firma española Loewe ha estrenado su galería de arte, inaugurada recientemente en pleno corazón de Barcelona, con una exposición  temporal retrospectiva de nueve obras del artista español Antonio Ballester. Un joven pintor , que rompiendo academicismos, intenta pintar con la libertad de un niño. Estas obras coloridas, de estilo naif, optimistas, enérgicas, en las que abundan evocaciones de la infancia y motivos florales, han sido el punto de referencia para la última colaboración presentada por la tradicional firma española fundada en 1846. El artista madrileño diseñó una colección de pañuelos para Loewe, llamada “Mantón de Manila” inspirada en el tradicional mantón español, prenda cuyo uso se remonta al siglo XVIII.

La colección de pañuelos compuesta por ocho modelos, cuatro en seda y cuatro en algodón y cashmere se pueden adquirir en cualquiera de los locales de Loewe. La exposición se puede visitar hasta el 15 de agosto en la Galería Loewe, Paseo de Gracia 91, Barcelona, España.
