Nike Air Force 1 by Dover Street Market

Rei Kawakubo’s London Concept Store to celebrate the 30th aniversary of Air Force 1 sneakers

A cult classic, Nike's Air Force 1 sneaker celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, and to mark the occasion, the American brand teamed up  with the London concept store Dover Street Market. Created in 2004 by Comme des Garçons designer  Rei Kawakubo to give the brand a showcase among some of the fashion world’s most avant garde names, the concept store soon it’ll add Nike Sportswear to that list. Releasing in limited numbers globally the DSM AF1 features a “materials first” for Nike footwear called Ventile  -naturally waterproof and windproof- resulting in a lighter weight and form fitting Nike AF1. A Tyvek tongue tab marked with 17-18 refers to the Street number of the store in the style of a competitive runner’s numbers. The DSM AF1, created two colors – classic navy and summer ecru-, will first release on July 20th at the Ginza location in Tokyo and on July 28th at Dover Street Market in London. Mid- August, the DSM AF1’s will be available at select retail locations in the US, Europe, and Greater China. I want a pair of each color!

Un clásico de culto, el modelo Nike Air Force 1 celebra su 30 aniversario este año, y para singularizar la ocasión, La marca americana armó equipo con el concept store londinense Dover Street Market. Creado en 2004 por la diseñadora de Comme des Garçons, Rei Kawakubo para exhibir su marca entre los nombres más avant garde del mundo de la moda, la tienda conceptual pronto añadirá Nike Sportwear a esa lista. Lanzada en cantidades limitadas globalmente, la zapatilla DSM AF1 ofrece un material nuevo para el calzado Nike llamado Ventile –resistente al agua y al viento naturalmente- resultando en una zapatilla más liviana y de mejor forma. Una etiqueta de Tyvek en la lengüeta con las cifras 17-18 refieren al número de la dirección de la tienda. La DSMAF1, creada en dos colores -azul navy y summer ecru-, será primeramente lanzada el 20 de Julio en Ginza, Tokyo y el 28 de julio en Dover Street Market de Londres. A mediados de agosto, la DSMAF1 será disponible en tiendas seleccionadas en US, Europa y China. Ya quiero un par de cada color!
