London's ON/OFF, the international platform for emerging fashion and creative talents which bridge the gap between on & off schedule designers , has landed in Paris for the second time running. What is an official Paris-off schedule has welcomed a young kintwear designer : YANG DU with the presentation of her A/W 12-3 collection "Why do fools fall in love? Tigers and giraffes mingled with owls and flamencos in her impactful knits, on simple short intarsia cashmere dresses as well as her signature jumbo capes. "I got this idea to do a collection where different animals from the jungle would all be trying to get on Noah's Ark", explained the London-based knitwear designer about the origins of this witty animal world. Du, who established her label in London in 2009 after succesful completed her both BA and MA degree in Fashion at Central Saint Martins College, also added a heavyweight of accessories with giant panelled backpacks that featured a hipos head or an owl's body. Swans and cocodriles would be knitted up in to quirky gloves, hats and scarves to complete her jungle
